My Belle dress I made Christmas of 2009. Since I was a kid I have wanted this gown. I randomly found various shades of yellow satin and yellow organza on sale and decided making a Disney Princess dress was due. The entire lighter yellow portion of the dress is covered with an organza overlay. It is rouched up like Belle's appears in the movie. I made a petticoat and a hoopskirt. I didn't have enough room to pack the hoopskirt to wear this to Fanex 2011, the petticaot held it up but the hoopskirt does a far better job.
The pearls on the dress are glass pearls. The wig is a Linda XL in 2 tone brown shades. The gloves I dyed yellow to match the dress. The bodice is fully lined and has a boning structure.

Haha. The dress itself wasn't actually that hard to make. It was made over the course of 3 days. It's making a petticoat work for this is the real adventure. I hav emade a hoopskirt for it that works alot better. I just can't lug it to cons can't it won't fit into a car lol

Thanks! I wanted to go a bit further with it and add the organza overlay just for the extra flare. I think it made a pretty good difference!

I will wear it again, I just need to figure out a wig for it. I used this wig in my Aerith costume. I kinda of want to spike the bangs up higher for this one XD

LOL, ok now I'm beginning to wonder, just how many outfits you have in your inventory...you keep adding more new outfits that we haven't seen yet...I am thinking that your unveiling of outfits is going to be going on for quite some time! :-)

This is a very nice outfit and super kudos to you for doing this. You do realize that your skills are good enough to make clothing professionally...you could be selling one of a kind pieces, if you aren't already.

Your works continue to impress. I am running out of adjectives...

Oh you have no idea how many costumes I have lol. I have been sewing for a decade now. Imagine a decade's worth of costumes. When I started out I couldn't really make anything too fast. This dress, however, took me about 3-4 days to make. Most of my costumes are completed over the course of 3-4 days. My Battlesuit is an exception, it took 2 weeks.
On a side note, I do take commissions, so I do sew professionally, I guess? I would love a job working in a theater or something making costumes for the actors XD
I am only uploading a few pics of each costume at a time. My biggest problem is getting all my costumes photographed, I still have about 40 that need to be shot T_T..hopefully soon lol.

You and your outfits would be fantastic to work with someday. Maybe some day we can set up a shoot. I did photography professionally for about 3 years trying to build up a business around it, but the crappy economy didn't help, so it is part time right now. Anyway, fantastic work. I feel like a broken record sometimes, as your outfits are simply great. Each one is as good as the one before.
